Consistency is the key

Today the first session was taken by Maya ma'am. I had the opportunity to sing for my colleagues and teacher, despite the heavy downpour. I hope it made their day a pleasant one. Next we had Ancy ma'am's session. She made us familiar with the basics of communication.  Then, we had the last session of the workshop conducted by the M.Ed. interns. Human Rights and Women Empowerment were the topics up for discussion. The presentation was done by Ms. Kaveri and Mrs. Vidya. An awesome mime was conducted on behalf of the students regarding human rights. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks from Gibi ma'am. Next, we had a library visit. The final session was P.E. by George sir, he discussed the syllabus in detail.

A vibrant day!!

An assembly was conducted by the M.Ed. students of our college. The function which started with an invocation to God, comprised of their logo release, a book release, campus news and other events.  Then we had our optional class by Meekha ma'am. Next, we had the continuation of the workshop from yesterday. Life Skills and Disaster Management were the topics for discussion. The interactive session was concluded by Shiney ma'am's vote of thanks. Then we had our P.E. session by George sir. He permitted the interested students to play cricket and badminton. I was really happy to hold a racket after so many years. Even though I lost touch with the game, I was able to enjoy it. Later, we had a library familiarisation session and finally we had the practice session for the upcoming Talent Hunt.

Let's succeed together

Today's first session was engaged by Gibi ma'am. She discussed the evolution of meaning of the term "psychology", the different branches of psychology etc. She reminded us, "Har pal yahaan, jee bhar jiyo." Next session, we had a workshop organised by the Department of Education, "Empathetic Values : a pre-requisite". There were also seminar presentations by Ms. Jijitha and Ms. Vandana on Gender Equality and Value Education. We also had fun creating posters in groups. In the afternoon, we had Maya ma'am's session. She gave out a powerful message that we need to remind ourselves, "Obstacles make me stronger."

Igniting Minds

The day began with a prayer. The forenoon session was an induction session, "Igniting Minds", led by Dr. G. V.  Hari, a renowned scholar, teacher, trainer, etc. He made us realize that a two-hour-long interactive class would not only be awesome, but also worth remembering. The class was filled with tambourine beats and musical renditions. We were lucky enough to understand some skills that a good teacher must possess from him. We are all looking forward to getting another opportunity like this. In the afternoon, one of the sessions was taken by Joju sir. "The key to mind management is an inspiration", is one of the many things that were discussed in the class. The final session was a practice session, for the talent hunt, by the different groups.

Joju sir's class turned out to be an encouraging and enjoyable experience with his inspirational words. Only by getting rid of one's inhibitions could one be a successful individual, better yet a good teacher. The end of the session was a melodious one.
